Introducing the all new
Panther C.A.T. System Headset
by Panther Electronics, Inc.

The Panther C.A.T.® (Cranial Audio Transmission) System is the 21st Century replacement for the noise attenuating, noise canceling headset. The unique design does not interfere with eye or sunglasses and weighs only one ounce! No more pressure-point headsets that cause headaches, sweating or a "bad hair day".

Gone is the conventional boom microphone that is notorious for picking up ambient cockpit noise. The microphone is now safely in the pilot's ear of choice (earphone in the other) thus vastly reducing the annoying engine and vibration noise prevalent in the modern cockpit by up to 45 Db without ANR. When used in conjunction with an intercom, one cannot tell the difference from a conventional headset. Another advantage of this system is when it is used in open cockpits or with a window open, there is no wind noise at all. The microphone is comfortably fitted into the user's ear. There is also a mute button where one can eat or talk to someone else without others listening over the intercom.

The ear pieces produce a Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) up to 46 dB, which is better than most ANR headsets! The reason is because of the "perfect fitting" custom ear molds created especially from your ears. The earpieces are made out of a specially formulated, extremely dense silicon. They are flexible thus producing a very comfortable fit. Many airline pilots using the Panther C.A.T.® System today never take them out - even across "the pond"! They are connected to the Interface Controller (which has a volume switch on it) with a lightweight, heavy-duty cable and locking connector.

They are connected to the Interface Controller (which has a volume control on it) with a lightweight, heavy-duty cable and locking connector. The controller is fully waterproof and the internal circuits are completely sealed. From the controller, there is another cable with gold plated jacks that fit all standard avionics packages today. The gold plated jacks are used to eliminate any interference by providing a solid connection when used in close proximity to a hand held transceiver. The controller has a Limited Lifetime Replacement Warranty while the earpieces and cables have a One-Year Warranty against defects and workmanship.

How to make the headset molds:

1.After ordering the headset, you will receive a kit to make molds of your ears. This kit includes: two different colored compounds to make the hardening molds, a syringe, three different sized ear canal protectors, return box, and directions for application in the form of a VHS tape.
2.You will then send the molds (which harden in about three-five minutes) along with your order form in the small addressed box that is included in your kit. On the order form you will choose which colors you want along with which ear you want the speaker/microphone installed into.
3.Within two weeks, your headset will be sent back to you ready to use.

What Pilots are saying about the Panther C.A.T.® System.

"I have been flying for almost 16 years now. I have used headsets that have ranged from the top end BOSE® to the bottom of the line. I have never had a headset that was as comfortable and reduced the noise level as well as the C.A.T. System."

K. Kovach, Captain EMB-145, EMB-120, ATR42 & 72..

"The Panther C.A.T.® System is the most quiet, most exciting, functional headset I have ever used. I would have no other!"
